Walk for James: A 3-Mile Community Walk to Combat Type 1 Diabetes
Community is a Core Value of the Ploome Team. Join us this Sunday (10/23/16) for the Philadelphia annual Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) One Walk: For a World without Type 1 Diabetes (T1D).
The Ploome Family is participating in this walk to provide support to one of our community members, Kathy Perron who lost her son, James Cutler to T1 Diabetes.
A few words from Kathy about Jame and T1D:
James would be so pleased to know that Ploome was organizing an event in his memory to raise money for the JDRF. He loved to tease me about what he characterized as my “lady exercise classes”. Little did he know (or probably did know but pretended not to acknowledge!) what kind of physical and mental strength Ploome classes build. I am so very pleased that Ploome has chosen to organize a team to walk/run in the October JDRF event.
My husband Sam and I appreciate any and all support given to addressing the treatment of juvenile diabetes. Diabetes is a terrible disease, but there is ongoing research that has produced incredible advances in the past decades. And as a grieving mother I am very grateful for the emotional support I’ve found at Ploome.
